He served as a staff physician and professor of medicine at several universities such as Jordan University of Science and Technology, Indiana University and University of Illinois in Peoria. Dr. Al-Rashdan, who joined Baptist Medical Group in 2023, is fluent in Arabic and English.

Kenneth Fields is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with more than twenty years of experience. Before joining GI Specialists, he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Fields works in all areas of gastroenterology and is highly respected for his expertise in upper and lower endoscopy techniques. Edward Friedman is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist trained in both Gastroenterology and Hepatology. As a fellow in Gastroenterology, Dr. Friedman furthered his gastrointestinal procedural training in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), a specialized technique used to study the ducts (drainage routes) of the gallbladder, pancreas and liver.
Dr. Kistangari is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders including stomach pain, ulcers, reflux, constipation and irritable bowel syndrome. He has nearly 20 years of clinical experience and is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association and the American Gastroenterological Association. A native of Hyderabad, India, Dr. Kistangari is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.
Dr. Smith is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist who worked as a private hospitalist before returning to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center to complete a fellowship in gastroenterology.
